While Lawns For Warriors provides services all year round for landscaping and janitorial services, we are not hiring for those roles. This position that you would be applying for is for general laborer for power plant industrial services. Here are some frequently asked questions to help decide if this is a good fit for you.
Do I need prior experience for this work?
No, all training will be provided so prior experience is not a requirement.
Are background checks required?
Yes, for power plant work, background checks are required.
Will I be able to work outages around my unit’s schedule?
Yes, in most cases your unit command may allow you to make up your drill/training at another date if you have secured a spot to work the outages.
Is pay every week?
Yes, pay is every Friday. LFW also offers direct deposit if you chose.
Is the work physically demanding?
We do require workers who are in good physical standing with no limitations to labor. General laborers need to be able to work in various conditions and environments.

Will there be paid overtime?
Yes, outage work is 6 days on, 1 day off, 12-hour shifts. 40 hrs Regular and 32 hours Overtime each week. You will have the opportunity to bring in a lot of hours in a short period of time.
In addition to Pennsylvania jobs, can I work an outage out of town or state?
Yes, If you chose to work an out-of-town outage then your flight, hotel and rental car will be provided for you. Additionally, you will be able to take advantage of those points and miles toward your travel.
Once committed to an outage am I locked into that work?
Yes, we ask that once you commit to an outage you keep your commitment as lots of planning and effort goes into coordinating the work and scheduling personnel.
Is there work in the Summer & Winter Months?
Summer/Winter months provide grounds maintenance opportunities depending on locations. Must have experience and comfortable with zero turn mowers and trimmers.
